Author, model and dietician Maye Musk, the mother of prominent entrepreneurs Elon, Kimbal and Tosca Musk, arrived to the Greek island of Santorini on Saturday to participate as a speaker at “The Luxury Side of Greece” conference.
A world-class celebrity on her own right, Maye Musk has been a model for 50 years, appearing on the covers of leading international magazines, and published her latest best-selling book “A Woman Makes a Plan: Advice for a Lifetime of Adventure, Beauty, and Success” with Penguin Random House in 2019.

Invited by the 1st “The Luxury Side of Greece” conference, which takes place in Santorini on 29-30, Maye Musk arrived to Santorini on Saturday under heavy security to join Elli Spyropoulou, journalist and CEO of conference organiser Update Entertainement, for a open discussion at Santo Wines Winery.
Musk, who has run her own nutrition business for over 45 years in eight cities and three countries, told the audience how she has managed to work with leading fashion houses and international brands for over five decades, building her own unique vision.
The influential role model, who fiercely states that “It’s great to be 75,” shared experiences from her international travels and spectacular career, as well as special moments from her fascinating life.

Maye Musk had an adventurous childhood, as her family flew around the world in a prop plane and spent a decade roaming the Kalahari desert in search of the famed Lost City of the Kalahari.
A model since the age of 15, Musk had four billboards in Times Square in her 60s.
Her 1996 book, “Feel Fantastic,” sold out in record time.
Today, she gives presentations as an entrepreneur, fashion icon and nutrition expert to corporations, associations, hospitals and universities around the world, and is an Ambassador for two non-profit organisations.
Highlighting “The Luxury Side of Greece”
Co-organised by Update Entertainment and the Municipality of Thera, under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Tourism, the Greek National Tourism Organisation, the International University of Greece, the University of the Aegean and the P.S.S.E.A., this new conference aims to highlight Greece as a powerful, ever-growing luxury tourism destination in an greatly competitive international environment.
A celebration of luxury tourism in Greece, it brings together world-famous speakers, businesspersons and politicians as honorary guests, important stakeholders from the tourism industry and journalists from major domestic and international media.
Greek MEP Eliza Vozemberg, who was also participating as a speaker, wrote on Twitter that the next big stake for tourism and the Greek economy is to increase Greece’s participation in the large market of luxury tourism, whose annual turnover in Europe is estimated at 150 billion.
