Wolves v Tottenham: Jonny, Pedro Neto and Diego Costa come in to the Wolves side, while Cristian Stellini (or Antonio Conte) makes five changes to the Spurs team that limped out of the FA Cup at Sheffield United during the week. Cristian Romero, Oliver Skipp, Harry Kane, Dejan Kulusevski and Clement Lenglet start for Spurs, with Pape Sarr, Lucas Moura, Richarlison, Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez making way.

Premier League: In the battle of the sportswashing nation states, goals from Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva secured the points for Manchester City, who have now beaten Newcastle United 14 times in a row at the Etihad Stadium. They close the gap at the top of the table to two points, having played one more game than Arsenal.

Aston Villa v Crystal Palace: Wilfried Zaha returns to the Palace line-up after a four-match absence with a hamstringh injury, while Eberechi Eze also starts for Patrick Vieria’s side. Unai Emery also makes two changes, Alex Moreno and Emi Biuerndia coming in for Lucas Digne and Leon Bailey.

Arsenal v Bournemouth: Thomas Partey makes his first start in Arsenal’s midfield for three weeks, coming in for Jorginho. Eddie Nketiah misses out through injury. Joe Rothwell and Antoine Semenyo come into Bournemouth’s starting line-up.

Chelsea v Leeds: Not named among his side’s lame and halt, Patrick Bamford is a conspicuous absentee from the Leeds matchday squad, with Javier Gracia making two changes to the side that beat Southampton last time out. Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter come into the team. Wesley Fofana, Mateo Kovacic and Benoit Badiashile start for Chelsea.

Hull City moved up to 13th in the table with a 2-0 home win over West Brom last night. Ghana striker Benjamin Tetteh scored his first goal for Tigers to give them a first-half lead, which was doubled courtesy of a Dara O’Shea own goal after the break.

Ewood Park is the venue one of two lunchtime kick-offs, where Blackburn Rovers are hosting Sheffield United. Fourth in the table, nine points behind the Blades, who are in the second automatic promotion spot behind Burnley, Rovers lead courtesy of a Harry Pickering strike after five minutes. In this afternoon’s other early game, it’s scoreless between Cardiff City and Bristol City at the break.

Manchester City and Newcastle United got the top flight ball rolling in today’s lunchtime kick-off between the Premier League’s two state-owned clubs. It’s half-time at the Etihad Stadium, where Manchester City have dominated their visitors for the opening 45 minutes and lead courtesy of a fine solo goal from the in-form Phil Foden. Should City hold on to their lead, they’ll close the gap between themselves and Arsenal to two points, having played one game more.

Saturday Clockwatch

Another weekend, another round of Premier League fixtures and table-toppers Arsenal have what looks, on paper at least, a relatively straightforward home fixture against struggling Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium.

They’ll kick-off in North London shortly after the final whistle has been blown on second-placed Manchester City’s clash with Newcastle United at the Etihad, while there are four other top flight match slated to take place before Southampton’s 5.30pm (GMT) battle against Leicester City later this afternoon. Bottom of the table and four points from safety, Southampton are in dire need of a win over their fellow strugglers.

We’ll bring you team news, updates on all the goals as they go in around the grounds and flag up any other major talking points on what promises to be another fascinating afternoon of top-flight action.
